Welcome! I’m Bethany Gruskin, PhD, MSOT, OTR/L, LRC. I founded this practice to help growing families find their unique rhythm. As an occupational therapist and clinical researcher, I know firsthand that the transition into early parenthood brings immense shifts to your physical health, mental wellness, and daily routines. My heart is in helping families—including both mothers and fathers—gently navigate the complex seasons of infertility, pregnancy, surrogacy, adoption, fostering, and early parenthood, as well as holding space for pregnancy and child loss. Equally, I am deeply committed to partnering with individuals navigating the daily complexities of chronic illness, pain, or disability, helping you reclaim agency over your body and your life.
My career has spanned a wide variety of practice settings, from the fast pace of inpatient acute rehabilitation and acute pediatrics (including the NICU, PICU, and Oncology) to the dedicated care of outpatient adult mental health and early intervention. Because of my background as a health researcher, I love infusing our sessions with evidence-based practice. You can expect me to share current research findings directly with you so you always feel empowered by real data. (To dive into this further, please feel free to explore more about research here).
Working with me means entering a comfortable, professional, and deeply collaborative space. I bring a clinical approach that is highly evidence-backed, but I deliver it with genuine kindness and an approachable, lighthearted warmth—making sure you feel completely supported and at ease every step of the way. By blending compassionate care with the specialized Lifestyle Redesign® Framework, we will work as a team to transform your daily habits into true sources of strength, ease, and joy.
Hi, I’m Bethany.
Throwback to graduation day at USC, where a major piece of this journey began. Earning my doctorate and training in the specialized Lifestyle Redesign® Framework at the University of Southern California gave me the vital, evidence-backed tools to help people adapt, rebuild, and truly thrive. My time at USC taught me to look at health through a deeply holistic lens, and I love blending that real-world research with family to help my clients transform their daily routines into sources of strength, ease, and joy. Fight On.
The progression of this painting from my PhD qualification exams represents a beautiful metaphor for human progress. During that intense academic milestone, I captured the concept of growth, adaptation, and transformation through art. Earning my doctorate and mastering the Lifestyle Redesign® Framework taught me that progress is rarely linear. Instead, it is an evolving canvas shaped by our experiences.
This photo of me as a young child, gently wrapping my baby doll in my own sweater, is an image I hold very close to my heart. Looking back, it is clear that my dedication to caring for others and nurturing families started long before I trained to become an occupational therapist or earned my doctorate. That innate instinct to protect, comfort, and hold space for people is the core driving force behind my work.
