TINY NESTS 2 - Currently Recruiting Expecting Parents

Real Research,
Real Impact.

My name is Bethany Gruskin and I am an occupational therapist at the University of Southern California’s Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy.

We are conducting a research study to better understand how expecting parents may or may not prepare for a new baby. We are particularly interested in how expecting parents prepare individually, with their partner, and with their community of family and friends.

We are recruiting individuals who meet these criteria:

  • Two-parent families in which one parent self-identifies as the birthing parent and the other as the support parent (self-identification as mother and/or father will be accepted, as long as one parent is pregnant)

  • You are a family unit: (a) married/committed relationship, (b) living together, or (c) both parents have a biological and parental relationship to the fetus

You or your partner is carrying a low-risk pregnancy (no major health concerns for you or the baby)

  • You are conversationally fluent in English

  • You are over 18 years old.

If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to do the following activities at the following locations:

  • Complete an online survey for about 30 minutes

During these activities, you will be asked questions about:

  • Your demographic information

  • You or your partner’s pregnancy

  • Questions about how you are preparing for the baby through individual and social activities

If you complete the questionnaire, you will be entered to win one of four $50 visa/amazon gift card. If you are randomly selected, you will be notified via e-mail.
